Brooke Stevens Interior Designer

Born and raised in Colorado, Brooke wanted to experience life on the east coast and started her higher education at University of New Hampshire, focused on Human Development and Family Studies. She went on to transfer to CSU and ultimately graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Sciences. After her university experience, Brooke discovered her true passion lies in Interior Design, and earned her master’s certificate from Heritage School of Interior Design in Denver. As a newcomer to the interior design scene, Brooke has loved learning something new every day, and gaining practical knowledge and experience.

As a world class rock climber, Brooke spends her free time focused on extreme mountaineering in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Just kidding... she’s outdoorsy in that she likes long walks on the beach with a margarita in hand. As a self-proclaimed “city girl” Brooke loves exploring the many eclectic neighborhoods and rooftop patios that Denver has to offer, but has been known to be persuaded to go white-water rafting and zip-lining through the woods as long as she can spend more time with friends and family.

Tricia Guy Business Development Specialist & Senior Designer

As the youngest of four girls, Tricia quickly became her father’s resident assistant on all home projects.  Inspired by the endless creative capabilities in each project, Tricia knew design and construction was where she wanted to dedicate her career.  After graduating with her bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from The Illinois Institute of Art, Tricia has gained experience from a wide range within the design field:  from high-end residential to commercial interiors.  Working within the Senior Living design market established an instant connection with Tricia and has since been her focus for the past 10 years. Tricia’s positive outlook, passion for architectural design, and dedication to collaboration has created lasting relationships with industry partners looking to design and experience a unique blend of hospitality driven design with an emphasis of resident comfort.

Since relocating to Denver in 2018 from Wisconsin, Tricia enjoys experiencing everything Colorado has to offer.  When she’s not in the mountains enjoying a hike with her significant other Eric and their fur-son Renzo, you can find her teaching her other passion, Pilates, to friends and family alike.

Before and After- Chancellor Gardens

Before and After- Chancellor Gardens

Before and After photos of our Chancellor Gardens renovations.

We’ve had the pleasure to work on a few projects with MBK Senior Living, and this renovation might be one of our favorites yet!

This renovation encompassed nearly 16,000 square-feet of an existing Assisted Living & Memory Care Senior Living Community.  While the existing building had a versatile open floor plan and multitude of amenity spaces, the previous design featured over-stimulating patterns, colors, and oversized furniture throughout.  Throughout the dedicated project collaboration with the client, the new design sought to convey a ‘breath of fresh air’ by toning down the visual stimulation for the residents’ and their guests. The new design was focused on providing an elevated, yet comfortable, serene escape from the previous.  Staying true to the local architecture & neighborhood, a calming color palette and highlighting key architectural elements creates a bold and well-balanced aesthetic throughout.  With this, a sense of order and sophistication is now felt upon entering, creating not only an impactful first impression, but a feeling of ‘home’ and being cared for, speaking true to the client’s company core values.

Grand Lobby

Upon entering the community, a sense of ‘awe’ overcomes you with the stunning open concept floor plan.  Taking the previous traditional building aesthetic and updating it with clean lines, crisp white accents with contrasting finishes, and updated architectural details creates a first impression that will last.

Reception

An architectural feature with the new wood canopy and decorative light fixtures provides a distinct eye-catching feature guiding you into the community.  The custom reception desk encompasses a well thought out design for the staff to engage with guests directly from the lower ADA-Height counter section and provides privacy behind the transaction height counter. The decorative light fixtures provide a distinct eye-catching feature guiding you into the community.  Adjacent from Reception is a peek-a-boo view of the new Bistro and colorful FF&E through the custom designed wood screen.

Bistro

This lively space, located directly off the Grand Lobby is open for Residents to stop in and meet friends and family for a drink and light snack.  The strategically placed TV is designed for hosting watch parties of local sports games, favorite television shows or broadcasting the always engaging activities calendar of events hosted by the community staff.  Bold casework, two-toned metal light fixtures and warm wood accents create an invigorating space for all to enjoy.

Lounge

Within the Bistro are a variety of seating areas creating a multi-purpose function of the entire space.  This area’s key feature is the art niche with LED light cove.  Creating intimate venues within a large room offers the residents’ and their families to utilize the same space and feel like they are in an extension of their own private apartments.
