Before and After photos of our Someren Glen renovations.

We’ve had the pleasure to work on a few projects for the Someren Glen community, and this might be one of our favorites yet. Here are a few before and after images of in-progress spaces from our phones, but we were too excited about the transformation to not share right away. We love how fresh and inviting all of the spaces feel now, and look forward to seeing residents in the community living in their updated home.

Lobby

One of the most important spaces in this remodel project was the Lobby. It sets the tone for the rest of the community, so we had to make sure that it was both welcoming and impressive. We also wanted to bring in soothing colors while still being vibrant and energetic.

Stairwell

While stairwells can often be forgotten, this one’s doors remain open 90% of the time, so it was vital that we made the stairwell an extension of the lobby- inviting and elegant with colorful artwork to liven up the space.

Lower Level Lobby

This space serves many purposes so there were a lot of different activities that needed to be able to function all at once. Whether you’re waiting for an appointment in the salon, spending time with family members, or enjoying a game of cards, this space is fresh and function with it’s bright pops of yellow and blue.

Hallways

With storefront windows all down the hallway, this space is filled with bright and inviting light. It was important to create focal points down such a long corridor, and help residences with way finding by creating significant entrances for the various rooms along the hallway.

Dining Room

One of the biggest transformations of the remodel is the dining room. We were able to make a space that felt overwhelming and bland, cozy and inviting with a brand new vapor fireplace, complete with warm wood tones and elegant stone.
Another major aspect of the dining room renovation was creating separation between the assembly space and dining room. Now the space features sliding barn doors made from beautiful herringbone wood.

Life Enrichment

The final room in this major renovation was the life enrichment room. We needed a space that can serve as an art room, showcase cooking demos and the occasional physical therapy. With massive built-ins, there’s plenty of storage for all the needs this room will service.
