Pantone’s Color of the Year- Peach Fuzz

Happy February! Nothing gives us warm and fuzzy feelings quite like the month of love. Speaking of “fuzz,” let’s talk about this year’s Pantone color of the year: Peach Fuzz. This soft, but vibrant hue evokes feelings of comfort and luxury.

One thing we’ve learned from our all our combined years of designing in the senior living space is that as we age, a lot of our senses change over time. Hunter Lab explains that “as our eye ages, the color vision gets worse due to the lenses in our eyes becoming yellow-ish. This causes distortion in the colors and can prevent the eye differentiating yellow from green and blue from purple. This is why you see seniors gravitating to softer color pallets full of warm, rich colors…” and there’s no better example than Pantone’s color of the year “Peach Fuzz.”
A graphic titled "What is PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz?" describes the color of the year, Peach Fuzz, as a nurturing, velvety peach hue. It features a quote from Leatrice Eiseman and her photo on a peach-colored background.
