The Top trends we saw at Las Vegas Furniture Market 2019.

Last month, the whole Aneka Interiors team ventured to Las Vegas for Winter Furniture Market 2019 in search of the hottest new brands, trends, and this year’s “must haves” when it comes to all things interiors. Below are the top trends we saw and are LOVING from this season’s furniture market, and couldn’t be more excited for the rest of 2019, and incorporating these different pieces and elements into our designs.

1. Biophilia

Based on the belief that humans have an innate “need for nature”, this trend really emphasizes the connections between humans and natural elements. Beyond incorporating plant-life (living or artificial) into designs, we noticed lots of natural organic materials, wood tones, stone and organic images/art work.

2. Feminine Tones

Cool grays were in Vogue for quite a while, and now we’re seeing color trends go a little more warm with Pantone’s color of the Year being “Living Coral”. It lends itself to a more feminine feeling, while still being applicable in gender neutral spaces.

3. Floral Patterns

Piggy Backing off the feminine tones, florals are big this season. Wallpapers and prints that either imply or are explicit florals are being used across different spaces.

4. Acrylic Furniture

“Acrylic can give a room the architectural structure it needs without taking up visual real estate. We see acrylic as a fantastic foundational piece in a small space, like an entry, to provide a surface that can be layered with more organic items and not feel busy.”

5. Mixing Metals

Using a variety of metals (no more than a mix of two to three different metal accents) throughout your design is a tasteful way to create balance and definition, while blending different styles and colors into one cohesive design.

6. Four Poster Beds

Four Poster Beds are having a major moment, and we saw numerous examples. They lend the bedroom a sense of seclusion and security while feeling opulent and glamorous.

7. Jewel Tones

With Pantone’s color of the year being Coral, a lot of hues that make great pairings are rich jewel tones. Pairing “Millennial pink” with an emerald or amethyst brings richness to the setting while toning down the vibrant pink that’s trending throughout design specialties.
