7 March We’ve Grown…Again!

What a whirlwind 2021 was! As always, we’ve been hard at work learning, growing, and evolving within this ever-changing design field, and we couldn’t have done it without a new addition to our team. Meet Julie H- our new Procurement Specialist! Welcome to the team Julie, we’re so lucky to have you as a part of our family here at Aneka Interiors.

Procurement Specialist

Having moved to Colorado at the young age of 5, Julie considers herself a “native” Coloradan. With a huge passion for all things outdoors, Julie started her professional career working with the US Forest Service, Colorado State Parks, and the Colorado Geologic Survey. While her foray into the interior design world was untraditional, she quickly found her niche as a Project Manager and Procurement Specialist through a few hospitality projects; including the Encore Hotel by Wynn in Las Vegas.
While her professional passions have changed, Julie still thrives on submersing herself, alongside her two children, in the beauty of the outdoors. Their family excursions showcase Julie’s love of travel which has taken her to places as far as Dubai, and across much of Europe and the UK. When she’s not camping, hiking, kayaking, or biking around town, Julie’s biggest passion is nature photography.

Coffee Order? “A quality cup of black please, hold everything, plain Jane for this gal!”

Favorite Trip you’ve taken? “Taking my kids on a camping road trip to the Grand Tetons and seeing some of Yellowstone. But also tied with my adult trips to Cabo.”

What’s your favorite part about where you live? “I love being close to almost any dirt trail within 30 minutes, and I can go hike year-round. Being in the trees or outside is such a part of who I am, where I just appreciate nature and all it does for your mind & body.”

Your favorite workout? “Hot Yoga is my jam.”

Favorite inspirational quote? “Do the best you can until you know better. Then, when you know better, do better.” -Maya Angelou

Fashion item worth splurging on? “A good pair of jeans.”
