Located in Lakewood Colorado, just south of Golden and ten minutes from downtown Denver, this charming renovation project is nestled just below the Rocky Mountain foothills and adjacent to the Maple Wood Reservoir. Home to over 107 apartments housing both Assisted Living and Memory Care residents, this community refresh was inspired by the history of the building and the surrounding neighborhood. The community consists of 2 buildings, the main building home to approximately 80 units: 60 Assisted Living and 25 Memory Care. The Lodge building is solely Memory Care and has 22 units.

     The project objective was to update the community by replacing flooring, lighting, paint and new FF&E where needed. While being budget conscious, the finish package focused on retaining as many existing interior materials as possible, while keeping in mind the end goal was to breathe fresh life and design into the community.

      The result is a stunning community refresh, with an inspiring take on “Contemporary Craftsman” that feels both updated and consistent with the origins of the Lakewood & Golden Community, and the residents that MorningStar Applewood is home to.
